Pont de L'archeveche

You will remember these skirts from the meditrerranean nostalgia post and on a different color from the mexican look.
While in Paris, when a friend saw these metallic-bright skirts she suggested me to make some pictures in one of those bridges across the Sena full of lovers lockers because of the similarity, and I think it was a magnificent idea ! The locks and the metallic shine of the skirts fabric just worked as being ment for that. Have to say that even I do not like this place, now it looks amazing! it took us a while to have two seconds without tourists making pictures and passing by there, but at the end it was all fast becasue we had to move fast!

The Mesh Label Collection skirts are not available at the online shop, but the white jersey that goes with does still, here

Bus to 1492

Usig the same outfit than yesterday, still in Paris, we passed by this Liberty Statue stencil dressed as a native american and, instead of holding a table with the date of the declaration of independence in Roman numerals, a date: 1492, the year that Cristobal Colón and his ships arrived in what they called the new world and is known historically as The Discovery of America. For others, that was the begining of a colonization and exploitation.

Well, political ideas on the side, I liked a lot the stencil, and there was not so much street arton this area, and and I thought it fit with the colors of the outfit, the light from that day, and the bus stop that we spotted before.

La France

Blue. White. Red.

You remember I traveled to Paris, so I took some pieces there to show to my friend and other people there, and we were taking some pictures in the neighborhood. We found this beautyful red door and just by chance it came out as the France flag, such a coincidence!

Bring the Mediterranean

From the Latin Mar Medi Terraneum, meaning "sea in the middle of the land", known for the Romans as the Mare Nostrum, "Our Sea". The Mediterranean Sea has been a key to the history, witnessed battles for control of its coasts and its navigation.
And because of this common history, there are somehow similarities between the different populations bathed by this sea. The Mediterranean culture is a fact, including at the highest artistic and literary productions to more everyday customs. One of its most striking peculiarities is its warm climate, and this makes possible the warm-blood-character of the population and the food from the region.
A mediterranean is addicted to which the sea provides without even being aware of it until it has been far and misses. The mediterranen manners are different, and we realize when we are away.

I wanted to make this introduction because is need to be said, that as I had this fabrics in my hands, some ideas came to my mind: olives and grapes; oil and wine. So this had to be this way.
By chance, in my friend's kitchen they hava a crazy wall paper that actually represents a coast, seen from some kind of terrace.
You might remember this fabric, in other colors combination, from this post and from this one too. I just decided to get all the colors availables and make a complete serie of these, because seems like people are loving them! even though not being unique pieces, there might be just a limited edition not decided yet, but around 5 from each color and, of course, signed by The Mesh Label Collection. By now, not available in the online shop, just available for direct purchase in Berlin.

The Mexican

Everybody looks for inpiration, does not matter where, but sometimes you just start to work on something without it, just like there is some force that makes you start and keep on; sometines you see some material that brings you a hidden inspiratiopn, and then, when you are done, and you see the result, all together, as an unity, you say "oooh, right" and you are able then to recognize details, reminiscences, to somethings that you even did not hink about in the begining. I love that way of working. And that is exactly what happened here.

You already saw this skirt before, combined with a jersey made from the same fabric like this bustier. Is unbelieveable how differetn it can look, just changing the top of the outfit. But anyway, I think both combos have a common countryside-rural-pulse on it, don't you think?

Bustier in the begining was just made for the photoshoot, as an experimental design, so not available in the online shop by now, but many people are loving it, so I am thinking about making some more with different colors, and patterns... Skirt is already sold out.

Morning Afternoon

Following with the lazy idea, but not in a really sense of being just laying somewhere, I was thinking about those sundays when you wake up in a natural way, you stretch in bed, get up, maybe shower or just refresh your face, put a comfortable loose skirt on, and your favourite jersey, walk the corridor till the kitchen, and prepare yourself the best brunch ever (when there was no body else to do it for you), and maybe prepare a sweet snack for later ... I was thinking about those sundays, basically, because I just miss them, and because those sundays in my life just happen in winter.

Long skirt, semi transparent, with floral pattern in red, black, white, blue and green. Easy to combine with almost any color. Material is viscose and metal, which shines with movement subtly.

Jersey is white cotton, woven so as to have very small forming diamonds. Also a bit translucent.

Below, skirt and jersey detail. Where you can see the elastic at the waist (skirt has one too, but in black).

There is still the possibility to buy thE top piece in my online shop.  You can get the jersey, as a total look with its culotte, or separated. Skirt will be available online soon.
