GOLD

Starting a new project is soooo exciting!

It is about Egypt at the moment, and basicly old aesthetics from that area about 5000 years ago and on. Trying a new-modern-or whatever view, more casual some times probably, but will see.... :)  Decided this after realizing how much I do like gold and glitter and shiny stuff anf basicly loving mostly all combinations of colors with gold.

As I always say... I develop ideas and just go on showing what I have been doing, do not wait till having an hermetic "collection" cause all my projects are aaaalways open to changes, new ads and subsequent ideas and developments.

Both pieces, sweater and shorts are available at The Optimistic Store (Rochstrasse, 17. Berlin)

RHOMBUS REMIX

  1. an oblique-angled parallelogram having four equal sides

Collaboration with London-based brand Lobstar, about creating rhombus for its patchwork project.

I actually made these thread-on-net rhombus at the end of 2012, delivered on 2013 and finally became part of this piece in 2014. Besides, I already had this pictures sinze months...but I just did not find the damn moment to post. My apologise.

So now this is kinda a "thrown back" for me... and a fresh idea as well, that comes back to the present and that makes me probably make something else on this direction...who knows for when? ;)

 ..........details.....

special thanks to the model

Go Graphic !

Just a break between the smooth and the textures,  two of the basic principles of The Bronze Medal, but still on the black and white
I would say, maybe even say again, if you do not know yet, that I go for the harmony, the clarity, the innocence, the simplicity, the brightnes. And even so I have used graphics before, of course, I feel a total difference here. Maybe on the chaos of the print. I cannot tell. Maybe it already was a bit like that on the White Noise serie, but somehow it was on the course.

I guess I will have to explain some day what is actually the course about, or what it means to me or even what do I want to explain. But, you know, "to define is to limit"  (Oscar Wilde in "Picture of Dorian Gray") and I presume I am still looking for that, in any case.

Both pieces are sold already, but still working with these fabrics.
